|4||Cascadia||6 spaces||Robert Wilson|
|Cascadia is a tile game based off the Cascadia bioregion in North America. In this game you use tiles that are paired with animal tokens in an attempt to create a habitat based off animal scoring cards that can be randomized or selected before each game.|
Each tile can only have certain animal types played on it which is important to consider when placing it down because once you place a tile, it is NOT possible to move it ever. During each turn you place a tile into your habitat expanding it and you also place an animal token (not necessarily on the tile just placed). While it is possible to manipulate which tiles/animal tokens you select, for the most part you are limited in which options you can pick as only 4 tile/animal tokens are available to select from each turn. Cascadia requires a shorter scope when making decisions as you only get 20 turns before the game ends (I promise its quicker than it seems). Technically the base game of Cascadia actually houses only 4 players however, with the expansion there is more tiles available allowing for 6 players. There is a slight variant to encompass the extra players but the core experience remains the same. The expansion adds another way to score which consequently adds more complexity. Depending on the table of players we can choose to ignore the "Landmarks" addition the expansion brings and just play without it.
|4-5||Dinogenics||4 spaces||TBC-W||Raymond N|
|DinoGenics is a competitive game for two to five players, in which each player attempts to build and run their own successful dinosaur park.
Each player is the head of their own corporation with access to their own private island resort. Each season, players assign agents to the mainland to compete over DNA and other limited resources.|
Once collected, players can build fences, various park facilities and populate their parks with dinosaurs. Parks with the most prestigious dinosaurs will attract the most visitors. But beware; if dinosaurs are neglected or improperly penned, they will attempt to escape and spread havoc through the entire park. Use all the tools at your disposal; DNA splice mutant dinosaurs, exploit the Black Market or just try to run an honest park, the choices are yours. Do you have what it takes to lead your corporation to victory?
